Rogue Valley Veterinary Hospital offers boarding for both cats and dogs. Our boarding facility is aimed at comfort and fun for your pet. Dogs are given outdoor walks several times a day. This provides them with opportunities to run and play in our main fenced-in field.
We offer multiple types of kennels for dogs of all sizes. We also offer suites that are a larger, calming, comfortable space, perfect for geriatric and extra large dogs. They include a comfortable Kuranda dog bed and a soft, rubber, non-slip flooring. In both our suites and our regular kennels, dogs are housed indoors and given walks in an outside fenced area several times each day.
Playtime or training can be added to all boarding reservations for an additional charge. Playtime is offered Monday through Friday for dogs who tolerate other dogs.
Our feline friends are housed separately from dogs, have their own sanitary litter pan, and warm, snuggly, raised sleeping areas. The rooms are also provided with Feliway diffusors, a pheromone that has a calming effect on cats and helps your kitty feel comfortable and safe in its new environment. Cats will be given extra cuddles and receive playtime if they prefer to stretch their legs.
We provide the bedding, bowls, and toys for all boarding dogs, so there is no need to bring any of these supplies from home! We provide Royal Canin Gastrointestinal Low Fat diets for our canine boarders at no additional charge, but you are welcome to bring your dog’s food from home if you prefer. Because of the delicate nature of cats, food, and changes in situation, we ask that you bring your feline friend’s food from home. Please bring any medications that your pet may need while boarding. We will administer the medications to your pet at no extra charge as long as they are provided when checking in.
If your pet needs extra care due to medical or behavioral reasons, we will help with special care during his or her stay. With veterinarians , technicians and behavior specialists on staff, your pet will be in safe and caring hands.
** Note ** all boarding dogs are required to be up-to-date on age appropriate vaccines and tests, including Rabies, DHPP, Lepto, Bordetella, a negative fecal test, and a negative heartworm test.
